Hello everybody,
As I’m finishing the website and placing the photos, I came across this picture from a workshop
with a visiting teacher.
It reminded me of something I often observe in practice spaces everywhere. Moments like these are
full of enthusiasm — many people discovering the practice, feeling inspired, excited, curious. The
atmosphere is beautiful and energising.
But the reality of practice reveals itself later.
The true path of practice is not the honeymoon phase. It is what comes after the novelty fades: when
progress slows down, when postures plateau, when flexibility doesn’t change for a while, when
nothing spectacular seems to happen.
It is getting up early again and again.
Returning to the same sequence.
The same room.
The same teacher.
The same chant.
The same practice.
That is when practice becomes real.
Long-term, uninterrupted practice asks for patience, humility, and consistency. It is not always
exciting, and it is certainly not for everyone. Many people try it for a while and then move on to
something else, which is perfectly natural.
But those who stay long enough discover that the depth of the practice reveals itself slowly over
time.
And that is where the real transformation happens.
